Palestinian factions attacked the Arab regimes involved in normalization

Palestinian factions accused countries involved in the normalization of committing a major sin against the Palestinian people and their resistance and struggle against the Israeli occupation.

This came in the wake of the opening of the UAE embassy in Tel Aviv during a ceremony held on Wednesday in the presence of the Israeli President, Isaac Herzog.

This step comes about two weeks after Israel opened an embassy and consulate in the UAE.

The Hamas movement confirmed that the embassy’s opening was “an insistence on the great sin against our Palestinian people and all the peoples of the region, which completely reject all forms of dealing and normalization with the Zionist entity.”

Hamas, which last month waged a large-scale military confrontation with Israel, added that this would “not only give an official cover to the Zionist enemy to commit its crimes against our Palestinian people.

Rather, it encourages him to commit more of them and to complete his extremist racist Judaization projects.”

Israel, the UAE and Bahrain signed two normalization agreements in September 2020, under the auspices of former US President Donald Trump.

Likewise, the Islamic Jihad Movement affirmed, “Normalization and alliance with the enemy is treason and a crime, no matter how much forgery trumpets try to spread the justifications for normalization, and no matter how much normalizers try to tie the truth.”

Islamic Jihad spokesman Tariq Salmi said in a press statement: “History will record that at a time when the crimes of the occupation in Jerusalem and the demolition of homes and the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque were accelerating, the rulers of the Emirates were opening an embassy for them in the occupation.”

Salmi added: “This embassy may have been built on the ruins of a house or land belonging to a Palestinian family that was abandoned or exterminated during the Nakba of 1948.”

“Normalization and alliance with the enemy will remain treason and crime, no matter how much forgery trumpets try to spread the justifications for normalization, and no matter how much printers try to neck the truth.”

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine also considered the Emirati move to mean “the transition from normalization to Zionization, and drowning in the treachery that some Arab regimes pursue in strengthening their relations with the enemy as if they are dancing on the blood of the Palestinian people and the Arab nation.”

Out of 22 Arab countries, six have declared official relations with Israel, namely Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.

This week, the prominent Gulf thinker, Abdullah Al-Nafisi, warned against the Gulf exaggeration in normalization with Israel, especially granting the Israelis Gulf nationalities.

And in mid-February 2021, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the so-called “Association of Jewish Communities” in the Arab Gulf states.

It is an organization of the alleged Jewish community in the Gulf Cooperation Council. It is the first of its kind in these countries.

This association is led by the head of the Jewish community in Bahrain, Ibrahim Nonoo, and the chief rabbi of the Emirates Jewish Council, Dr Elie Ebadi.

Jews have a seat in the Bahraini Shura Council, the parliamentary chamber appointed by the Bahraini king, where Nancy Khadduri is a member of the Council.

Earlier this month, Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdul Latif Al-Zayani renewed his defence of the normalization agreement with Israel, which his country signed in mid-September 2020.

Al-Zayani announced that the normalization agreement “came within the framework of the approach followed by Manama to bring peace to the whole region,” as he put it.

Al-Zayani said during a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow that the Kingdom of Bahrain is a “peaceful people who believe in peace and call for the establishment of peace in the entire region.”

He pointed out that “this vision is based on the principles that have characterized the Bahraini people over the decades. It is tolerance, coexistence and respect for the other…” he said.

In an attempt to cover up the shameful normalization agreement that is widely rejected in Bahrain, Al-Zayani claimed that this message was directed to the region as a whole.

“To achieve this and instil hope in the youth of the countries affected by civil wars in the Middle East, we have sought to achieve and support peace with Israel.”

Last week, a high-ranking Bahraini source revealed a secret meeting between the Bahraini Minister of Education and the Chargé d’Affairs of the Israeli ambassador to the Kingdom to make changes, which he described as dangerous, in the Bahraini curricula.

The educational source disclosed to Bahraini Leaks that the meeting, which was held recently, included promoting the normalization agreement with Israel through the educational and cultural invasion.

An agreement emerged from the meeting between Minister Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi and the Chargé d’Affairs to Bahrain, Itai Tegner, to form a small committee of supervisors and educators to introduce the required amendments.

Bahraini political societies have previously announced their rejection of the normalization agreement and its agents and promoters and those who prey on the tragedy of the Palestinian people.

In a joint statement, the associations stressed that these “will never succeed in changing the positions of the people of Bahrain on the Zionist entity and the Palestinian cause.”
